To introduce the new Earth Lovers™ Shower Gel product line, The Body Shop organized a major swap event on Thursday, March 31. Anyone who wanted to could exchange an empty bottle of shower gel during this SWOP day, no matter what brand, for a full bottle of the new 100% biodegradable Earth Lovers™ shower gel. The Body Shop wanted to use this promotion to show that everyone can help improve the environment, not only by taking shorter showers, but also by using biodegradable showers gels.
Artist Daniel de Jong used all the swapped bottles of shower gel to create a huge artwork, so that these bottles are not an additional burden on the environment.
